一位洪灾的幸存者在小小的木头避难所下避雨，并哺育她的孩子。巫水河的两岸在两周的暴雨后被淹没。在通往芷江和中国东部的公路387公里处的洪江，许多村民失去了他们的房屋。巫水河上涨了20尺，淹没了洪江桥堤防，断绝了中国东部芷江战场的补给线。

In alittle wooden shack built to shelter them from the rains,this flood victim feeds her little one.When the Woo Shie River overflowed it’s banks due to a2weeks heavy rains.Many Villagers of Huang Hsien,China,at Kilo387on the road to Chih Chiang and Eastern China,lost their homes.The Woo Shie River rose20feet during the flood and washed away the Huang Hsien Bridge embankments,cutting the supply road to Eastern China's battlefields around Chih-chiang.China.
